Our Mission

Our mission at LAC Kids is to help lead and encourage families as they build on God’s foundational truths together.  This is done through exploring God's Word, worshiping as a family, teaching children how to apply Biblical principles, and developing deeper relationships with Jesus, family, believers, and their neighbors.  We as a ministry desire to intentionally shepherd, unconditionally love, and unequivocally focus on Jesus Christ, our Savior.

Core Values

  • LAC KIDS will teach of God's plan of purpose, love, and redemption through the Bible, both accurately and relevantly.

  • LAC KIDS will intentionally love and shepherd children.

  • LAC KIDS will equip children to understand, live out, worship, and share the love of Jesus.

  • LAC KIDS will be both a kid-friendly and safe place for children.

  • LAC KIDS will encourage and nurture family units in worshiping together.

LAC Kids - Sunday Morning Worship

About our Volunteers

Our LAC Kids Team of volunteers strive to nurture your children in a safe environment that is filled with the love of Jesus, the love of others, kindness, learning, discovery, a place to ask questions, a place to be yourself, a place to make friends, a place to be equipped to reach out into our community and love our neighbors, and a place to learn more about the great love of Jesus, our Savior, through Bible based lessons, activities, worship, service and teaching.

All LAC Kids volunteers must provide the appropriate clearances required by PA state law.

About our Curriculum

During the 10:15am worship hour, the children will worship together as a group, then split up into their age-appropriate classes, to hear God's word, study scripture, and follow the Bible-based lesson provided by The Gospel Project curriculum.  For an overview of the curriculum, click on the picture to find out more!

About our Security

Our Check-in system makes it easy for families to sign-in every Sunday morning and at special Children’s Events!

Infants and kids through 3rd grade are checked into the Children's Center building, and 4th and 5th graders are checked in at the kiosk located in the Worship Center.

Once kids are checked in, a name tag will be printed for each child, as well as a copy for their parent.  Parents must present their tag when picking up children at the end of a session.

To ensure optimal classroom learning and maintain security for our children, non LAC Kids volunteers are not permitted to stay in the classrooms.  Also, the entrances to the Children’s Center are locked from 10:30-11:30am each Sunday. A security person is located at the door at all times.

About our LAC Kids Classrooms

Infants - 0-23 months

We see it as part of our commission to share the love of Jesus with even the littlest of people!

Nursery is available during the 10:15am worship service.

In order to best ensure that your child's needs are met, please help us by providing any bottles, pacifiers, snacks, or comfort-loveys in diaper bags. Make sure that everything is clearly labeled in order to avoid any confusion.

Toddlers - 2-3 yrs.

Our Toddlers enjoy learning about God through age-appropriate interactive lessons. We also set an example of prayer before these impressionable minds. It's never too early to start laying down a foundation into precious little hearts!

Pre K - 3rd grade

Our elementary LAC Kids time consists of a large group teaching time, age appropriate special service projects as well as a small group time.

Small group is a time to build relationships, reinforce the Bible lesson and help children apply those lessons to their every-day lives.  Again, this is done through engaging activities, discussions and games.

Large group is a fun high-energy time where kids will be engaged through praise & worship, drama, video, skits and storytelling.

Tweens - 4th and 5th grades

We view these grades as transition years...not quite teenagers but also growing out of their elementary stages. We desire to cultivate a worship experience for them that supports their quickly changing stage in life. These students join their parents/families in worship during our praise time and then are dismissed to their classroom for the remaining time of the Sunday morning service. This opportunity gives the students a balance of participating regularly in adult worship while still getting an intimate Jesus-centered learning time with a teacher and their peers.

Grades 3-5

Summer 2024

Vacation Bible School is coming back to LAC this summer! Get ready! Get excited! Here are the details (share with your friends, family, neighbors!)

VBS "Scuba" Theme
Monday June 17 - Friday June 21
6PM - 8PM

Ages 3 years old (potty trained) through incoming 5th graders

An underwater, scuba & ocean theme...Diving into friendship with God!

Registration will be open in the spring! No fee, and registration is not required, but it is helpful!

 Child Dedication

A Baby & Child Dedication is for a child of any age that allows parents to publicly commit their child and their parenting to the Lord. This event is not a baptism, as we believe a baptism is for an individual who can proclaim their belief in Christ.

This is a special yet simple ceremony and is a time for parents/caregivers to recognize that their child is a gift from the Lord, and understand that they are responsible for raising them up in a Christ-centered and loving environment and asking for the support and love from the LAC church family.

LAC Family Sunday

The first Sunday of each month, all LAC kids are invited to attend the Worship Service with their families. It's OK if kids are noisy.  Jesus adores them and all of their noises and so do we!  Talk to them throughout the service, explaining what we are doing...singing praises to God, praying to talk to God, listening to God's message, hearing from God's word...keep pointing them back to Jesus, because worship is all about Him!

Note: Childcare will be provided for infants and toddlers.

Register your children!

If you are new to LAC, you can register your children prior to visiting with us by completing our connection card. Click here to access our card.

That will save you time when you check your children in to LAC kids because your information will already be in our system.
