Seniors
“Young At Heart”
Finding Strength and Purpose in the Aging Journey
As we age, life brings new challenges, physical changes, shifting routines, and questions about purpose and direction. Many seniors quietly wrestle with feelings of loss, isolation, or even invisibility.
At LAC, Young at Heart (55+) exists to walk through this season together. We create meaningful opportunities for connection, spiritual growth, and service — a place where faith deepens, friendships grow, and wisdom continues to make an impact.
My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. Psalm 73:26
How do we address feelings of loss, isolation, and lack of purpose?
We come togetherto build relationships, offer mutual support, and express our faith through service to those around us.
Connection & Fellowship
Staying connected becomes even more important in this season of life.
Throughout the year, Young at Heart hosts gatherings, outings, and shared meals designed to foster friendship and joy. Whether we’re enjoying a picnic, special event, or time of fellowship, these moments strengthen relationships and remind us we are not walking alone.
As you participate, you’ll build lasting friendships and experience the encouragement of Christian community.
Young at Heart Bible Study
Later seasons of life often bring new spiritual questions about purpose, legacy, and how God continues to work through us.
Our monthly Bible Study meets every third Tuesday from 12:30–2:30pm in the LAC Children’s Worship Center (lower level; handicapped parking available). In this welcoming small-group setting, we study Scripture together, share life experiences, pray for one another, and encourage one another in faith.
When you attend, you’ll be strengthened spiritually and reminded that God’s work in your life is far from finished.
Serving with Purpose
Retirement may change our schedules, but it does not diminish our calling.
Young at Heart actively participates in service opportunities as they arise. We believe the wisdom and life experience of seniors is a gift to both the church and the community.
Past initiatives have included A Night to Shine, Love The Hill, and Christmas Caroling — opportunities to serve, encourage, and shine Christ’s light.
As you engage in service, you’ll rediscover the joy of making a difference in meaningful ways.
